Also check with Wells Fargo, they're known for issuing student loans. Your financial aid office should also be able to help you shop for loans.

What did you put as your Expected Family Contribution on the FAFSA? If you are on your own, and your parents arent giving you any actual money, they cant claim you on thier tax return and you can apply for financial aid as independent. Then you will get a lot more money. Also, you can take out extra money to get a computer, just pick up a computer loan form from the office, or find it online at your school. You will have to prove that your cost of attendance is higher than the school estimated in order to recieve more money. I would suggest applying for unsubsidized stafford loans before doing a private loan with a cosigner.
