I am a college graduate, but because i made different plans for this year I did not get in on the May hiring frenzy and now I am stuck begging for telemarketing jobs. As it stands I am broke (like, I dont even have a dollar in the bank, and actually my bank account is in the negatives), I am behind on bill payments because I havent had a job yet, and any money I DO manage to make goes into the gas tank to go job hunting. I cant get a loan because I have no job, and no assets besides my car, and now my student loan defferments are coming due and although my parents are helping with those, they cant afford to for long because they are retired. I tried sales, and I couldnt keep up with the quota, I tried dishwashing, but it was too far to drive to only make minimum wage, because basically my entire paycheck would go into my gas tank to go to work, and I couldnt get bills paid. I am desperate for money to get back on my feet. I am constantly applying for jobs, and trying to go back

Desperate Financial Situation! I need help!?

I need to know where you live in order to be more helpful. One, there is no hiring frenzy, that's a myth. There is, however, a time when companies are in a hiring freeze. That time is usually in the last financial quarter (October/November) through Martin Luther King. I like what someone said about temp agencies. Here's the plan:

-Ever watch Seinfeld? Remember when the little person who was in acting said, "now I gotta go back and do that paralegal crap!" He wasn't kidding. Many wannabe actors, writers, etc., do temp paralegal work. All you need is a college degree in anything. The work is basically clerical. If you live on the east or west coast, it should be easy to get such a job. If not, it should be available, but there may not be as high of a demand. The job pays well and you can rack up on overtime.
