I am 20 years old, male, and I am attending college, I used to work at a Cingular franchise store for about 7months, but I also have 1 year of exp at mcDonalds, I don't know where to get a new job, I have applied and recieved many offers with decent salaries but I don't have a car anymore and my parents refuse to loan me money eventhough they know I can pay them back this summer. Should I get serious about it and go to the bank for a loan and buy an inexpensive car to get a better job or should I instead just wait for the summer to end? There is a McDonalds only a few blocks away from home, should I work there? I hate working fast food but it seems to be the only option, please advise me.
I need help getting a decent job, any tips will help!?Can you ride a bike? Is there bus service? Can you ride share? There are some alternatives to having your own car. It's less convenient but would still get you to work. Also, There's nothing wrong with working at McDonald's if it pays you what you need/want. It sounds like this is just a summer job for you so you really wouldn't be staying on the job for long, so maybe you should consider that, too. How do your parents feel about you not working at all? Is there an underlying reason they won't float you a loan?
