I enrolled in first session summer courses at penn state. now i applied to pheaa for a grant. i was approved for 825 grant. it will not go thru until aug tho. it also is not guaranteed. the financia advisor had me sign a pending aid form stating that basically wed assume i have the 825 but if it doesnt go thru i will have to pay it out of my pocket. (i was to get my loans back now) well all of my aid has been posted but the pheaa grant isnt even posted as anticipated i have not received anything. yet they took the 825 out of my loan. Now when the pheaa money comes thru it will b sent back bc my account is paid. how is this fair? is there a mess up somewhere? i took the loan bc i was still short a couple hundred dollars. does anyone no whats going on ive emailed the financial advisor. its just i really needed that money for some living expenses. any advice? should I b patient could my pending aid form not have gone thru and the 825 b posted later on? or am i screwed out of it?
Penn State Financial Aid Question?PSU's financial Aid office is pretty good. You wont be screwed out of it. If anything, it will go toward your fall bill. Or it will be sent to you. If you are at a Commonwealth campus, call main campus.
