In CA. Bought a new car, gave a trade-in for them to pay off, gave some cash downpayment, signed all the paperwork and drove away with the car. The seller's name which is the car dealer, the price, interest, and monthly payment and duration all spelled out in the paperwork. Now I keep getting calls from a finance company wanting all my personal information for the car loan. My question is....isn't it the seller's responsibility to obtain the loan for themselves for the car they sold to me? I was just going to send my payment as written in the contract to the dealer. I have had the car for three weeks. Thanks.
Auto purchase and finance question?Call the dealer and report the suspicious activity to them. It sounds like someone phishing for personal information.
Auto purchase and finance question?CALL YOUR DEALER RIGHT AWAY AND HAVE THEM FIGURE IT OUT
Auto purchase and finance question? They should of handled all this for you but you need to not call the dealer but rather go to the dealer in person so that they can get this resolved.
Auto purchase and finance question? They may be verifying the information the car dealer submitted. They have the right to make sure the money that was borrowed went to the person stated. If you are unsure about what's going on, call the number listed on the paperwork and see what they say.
