You may want to try to contact your former friend via correspondence and let them know you are prepared to take over the vehicle and financial obligations and ask them to surrender the vehicle to you before it is repossesed and your credit ruined. You could also attempt to have your own repo agency collect the vehicle for you. Or you could sue her for possession of the vehicle and hire an attorney and get a judgment against her for possession and back payments she failed to make on the car.
