i had bought a car from a small lot and have acopy of a contract but i found out it was not real that the lot who sold the car said i cant tack my car out of state because the way ive been paying for my car is to pay off his loan to usbank so i dont have the registration in my name how do i handle this what kind of attorney do i need?

That sounds confusing. Let's see if I'm understanding this.

You're paying the dealer for the car and not a bank or loan company, right?

If you're paying the dealer, then I think he can restrict you like that, (I'm not sure about it though), and you should probably find a bank to carry the remainder of the loan. Any kind of attorney, or maybe a paralegal could help, should be fine. If you have the time and patience, you could look it up yourself at the library or on the net and find out.

If you're paying the bank directly, they don't care, any big bank US bank, Bank of America, should have branches all over the place and all you should have to do is put in a change of address with them and they'll be fine with it. Even small banks don't care where you live, as long as they have an address and you make your payments, they don't care.

you are probably buying from a buy here pay here lot. they should still have registered the car in your name. your local dmv can fix that for you. however if you are behind on the payments they can repossess the car. you will not receive a title until the car is paid for.
