I need a loan for $5000 to pay off all my credit cards and its not as if i have bad credit i just have too many cards and not enough money how can i get a loan??? i have tryed my bank and a credit union but i have 3 credit cards and a car so all my money is tied up in that. what can i do??? what i want to do is get the money and pay them off so that i only have one low intrest payment and that will get my credit rating up, but i can't get the loan.

Have you called each credit card company to negotiate a lower interest rate? Even if you succeed with one or two, it would be enough to give you some relief. And if you succeed, don't lower your payments. You're supposed to be reducing the principal so that every dollar you devote goes to reducing your debt, not making more profit for the credit card company.

Pay the minimum on the two card with the lowest interest rate and put as much as possible towards the third card. Once it is paid off move to the next card and pay what you were paying on the first card plus the min. you were paying on the second until you pay it off and move to the third. Do not reduce the payments, keep paying what you were in total. Stop spending more money than you have.

If the reason you are turned down for a loan is that all your income is tied up in the credit cards and car payment, try for a consolidation loan and put your cards and car on that.
