I and my husband want to buy a home. This will be our first home. I am a house wife.My credit score is 663. My husband has a full time job but, his score is about 480. Can we get a home loan in CA with no down payment?

FHA has a NO score requirement...if your husband hasnt had any credit lates in the last 12 months...you should be able to do FHA

This is not a good time to contemplate buying a home if you have to settle for funny financing. Why don't you wait and save for a down payment, which will prove you can really afford to purchase a home.

Because you don't have an income, your score will help a bit but not much, you are a C and he in an E. Best advice, get a part time job, so you have income to be on the mortgage, save up your part time money for a year and use that as part of your down payment. it isn't easy but it can be done.
