I'm getting ready to start a painting company, residential work. Starting off i'm only goinng to offer interior painting and a few other things. However, I still havn't found any in depth answers how to do my quotes, how much to charge by the Sq. Ft. I know that there are diffrent prices in diffrent areas, but I could at least get an idea.
Also what about someone who has split up with his ex and now has bad credit, is it still possible to get a business loan from a bank.............if so what all material would I need to present to them to get the thumbs up????
I already have people waiting to be customers, but I want everything to be in line and straightened up first.

Starting a business PLEASE Help!!!!?Before you know what you can CHARGE per sq. ft, you need to know what it COSTS you to paint a sq. ft., and then add a planned profit. Add in ALL costs, including materials (paint, supplies), labor (don't forget taxes, benefits), insurance (liability, property like auto, worker's comp), utilities (phone, electricity), rent... everything you spend any $ on and everyone you send a check too should be included.
Don't forget to call around and see what your competition is charging! Maybe have a few friends/relatives call the same companies with slightly different 'stories' to get a feel for what the going rate is, and what all is included.
