Where can I get a personal loan with a score below 520 and no co-signer?
The key to financial power lies in your credit rating. If you plan to get a home loan, save money and get better credit starting now!
I need at least $7,000. I need the loan to be unsecured. I have tried to set up an account Prosper.com and they rejected me. They sent me an email stating that my score is below 520, and thats how I know its it below 520. I have a copy of my credit report and it several inquries and only one deliquent accoutn (value = $2,463), it has been deliquent 180 days. Please HELP!!! I need to out of this whole. My bad credit comes from me being unemployed over a year ago. I now have a good job where I make over 50k a year and have been there 6 months.
Any info would be appreciated.
Where can I get a personal loan with a score below 520 and no co-signer?I am in essentially the same exact position you are in, my friend. The only difference between me and you is the fact that I stupidly placed myself in my position. You have one delinquent account...I have multiple. Your delinquent account does not exceed $3000...I have four accounts that are at least that much, and yes, they are delinquent. Mind you, this is all nothing to be proud of, but here's where I am going with this: you have a great deal of inquiries...no doubt from trying desperately to find someone to finance you in your current situation. I also have a lot of inquiries...but I have not had one in the past ten months. Why? Because the battle to find someone willing to finance a high-risk borrower (without being taken for everything you are worth) is a losing battle. I simply gave up...trying to find financing, that is. Now, I like to think of myself as a good person, and the vast majority of people that know me feel the same way. So much, in fact, that in the midst of my credit problems, I was able to find two friends to loan me a total of $4000 and another literally bought me a car. I paid off both friends ahead of time and I never missed a payment on the car, even while going through a four-month long period of unemployment. Banks and other lenders don't give two shits about whether or not you are a good person or if your intentions are pure, because the bottom line is their number one objective: that little number classifies you as the scourge of the earth in lending circles, and for them that means no profits, which for you means a never-ending cycle of rejection and a side feeling of worthlessness. The advice I have for you is simply this: screw the banks and peer-to-peer lending sources. You know who you are, what you are capable of, and what your intentions are...and the only other people that know even the slightest amount of what you know will be those closest to you. I know, the last thing anyone wants to do is ask their friends or family for money, but when it comes down to it these are the only people who care enough to even consider it. And in order to not be a bad friend, you will be more compelled to repay in a timely manner. It's easy to miss a payment to a bank; they don't know who you are and you don't know them, so no one's feelings are hurt if a payment goes astray. If that does not seem like a feasible option, then the other advice I have for you is to simply work your *** off and save. The rest of the world runs on credit, but it doesn't mean that you have to. Bite the bullet and make a few sacrifices now, and in the future you will find yourself at a car dealership throwing a wad of cash on the table saying "I want that car, and I don't need to speak with the finance manager." I have had a deplorable credit score for seven years now, and I am clearing things up, but once things are taken care of, I will never resort to using credit ever again. I'm already on that route. I gave the car back to my friend with the difference of what the car was worth and what was owed on it so he could sell it, and I bought a $750 Volvo. You know what? It gets me to and from work. It's paid for. My insurance is only $32 a month. That opened up hundreds of dollars each month for me to stash, and in six months, I'll be able to get out of the Volvo and buy a brand new car (I really like the 2009 Corolla, so that' the goal)...cash. Will I? No, at least not in six months. I'll drive that damn Volvo until it breathes its last breath. Now it's about stashing as much as I can until I absolutely have to use it. Sit down and take the time to come up with a minimalist budget...start cutting out a lot of things you can do without and focus mainly on necessity. And remember this: there is no shame in driving a crappy looking car. It took me a while to get past it, but I understand now...and now I can call the shots, while everyone else lines the pockets of the bankers that don't give a **** about them. I'm sorry, I'm going on a ramble fest. Here's the bottom line: The $7000 you need? Don't further destroy your credit by asking banks and credit unions, because, take it from me, they will ALL SAY NO, regardless of how relaxed their credit restrictions may be. Ask people you trust and you know trust you, and you don't have to get the whole thing form one person. Create your own little peer-to-peer lending service. If it is an absolute emergency and you need it like yesterday, then I honestly do not know what to tell you. People like us are destined to lose things we love, I guess, just because we missed a payment here and there. Oh, woe is we. I'm sorry if that came off as harsh, but that is the harsh reality of it all. You have no idea the number of things I have lost and missed out on because I could not come up with the money. There is a saying out there that goes "you'll never get a loan unless you prove that you don't need one," and it's so true. You need one, so you'll never get one...from a bank. Now, after that gets settled, strip yourself of everything that can be considered a financial drain on you, create, as I said before, a minimalist budget (make sure your past due obligations are included), STICK TO THE BUDGET , and then watch your savings balance multiply. Then, with that money, the possibilities are endless. Buy stocks, land, whatever can make your money grow faster (in a legal and ethical way, mind you). You do not have to roll over and become another victim of credit. It's good to have, but it isn't required for living life, contrary to popular belief. But do make sure that your credit is in check in the future so if a situation so severe pops up that your deep pockets cannot cover it, you can still make it by. Oh, and then you can pay the loan off in a matter of months. Anyway, that's all I have to say. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you get the funding you are looking for. You are in control of your life, not the banks, so break away from the status quo, blaze your own trail, and come out ahead of everyone else...and I'll see you there. Good day, and God bless.
