Are Bush and the Congress just adding more money to the deficit because they failed to enforce banking regulations regarding home loans? They act like they're surprised people defaulted on bad loans, especially in the face of outsourcing all their jobs oversees. So now we're borrowing more to fix a credit crisis?
I just heard HIllary and Obama discussing a finanace Bill allowing 30% interest to consumers. What happened to "Usury" laws liniting interest charged by financial institutions. 30% is ridiculous. This used to be called "loan sharking" when the Mafia did it thirty years ago. Now it's federal legislation to allow banks to do it? Why are we allowing these people to remain in office a day longer?
Where is this money for the President's "economic rescue package" coming from? The US budget is gone.The same place as the "emergency" supplemental bills to pay for the war in Iraq, outside of the regular annual budget to meet military expenditures.
INCREASE THE DEFICIT to the point that the USA is at risk of going bankrupt.
As to why allow them to stay in office ... where is the popular support for alternative candidates that are opposed to this stuff?
