In my area, without having done the full application, it looks like the range is from 16% to 20%... Probably like a credit card loan. Try a credit union if you can. They have pretty good rates.

Also, if you have a 401K, you can borrow from it (typically) and when you repay the loan with interest, the interest you pay is deposited into your 401K account (you pay yourself the interest!)

Some credit cards may offer a 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers. If so, you can write a check to yourself from a different credit card, and then balance transfer over to the 0% card and have a 0% loan until the introductory period ends.

I have a chase card that gave me 4.9% for as long as it takes to pay off the balance transfer (so far, the rate is locked for the last 15 months).
