I recently purchased a 2002 Ford Explorer for my business. The dealership came & repossed the truck, even though there is NO LEIN HOLDER on the vehicle. Do they have a legal right to the vehicle if there was no loan on the vehicle, and no collertal listed when the vehicle was purchased? As I stated... There is no lein holder listed on the vehicle title, and I did not have a loan when I purchased the vehicle.

Since your check is bad, the dealer took back what was rightfully theirs.

Either you were scammed or someone tried to scam the dealer. Fortunately, the dealer got back the collateral without losing more money. As for you, what happened to your checking account and maybe expect to answer some questions from the authorities.

There is obviously info that you are either leaving out or don't know. You need to call the dealership and ask WHY they repo'd the vehicle.

If you owe them money for a repair they can get a Mechanics Lien on your vehicle but should have sent you letters and paper work to back it up. Call your local states attorney they should be able to help you
