18 or 21? Do you need a co-signer?
How old do you have to be to get a car loan? Co-signers?YOU MUST BE 18 TO LEGALLY BIND ANY CONTRACT. YOU NEED A CO-SIGNER IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CREDIT HISTORY OR YOU HAVE VERY LITTLE CREDIT HISTORY.
How old do you have to be to get a car loan? Co-signers?You'd have to be 18. You will, as the previous commentor said, need a co-signer if you don't have adequate credit history. Even if you do have SOME credit history, having a responsible co-signer with good credit will help reduce your interest rate. Having a co-signer can benefit you both. For example, when my fiance bought his truck I cosigned. He has great credit, so having me on there didn't raise the interest raite, but what it will do is help build my credit, too.
