okay here it goes...I recently applied to refiance my car with the same fiancial institue I was currently with. I got a better rate and they sent me a check up to a certain amount to refiance. I submitted the check to them to payoff the loan and a week later recieved an email from them to call a 1800 number to give them more information. So I called and they notifed me that they can not refiance my car and I would have to go to another insitution...I guess that is just their policy...in the mean time they went ahead and cashed the check sent me my title to my car and now my balance is currently $0.00. So as I write this my car is semi-free and clear. Should I just skate by and pretend everything is normal and if so would I get into trouble if cought? Suggestions please...thanks

they will catch their mistake sometime. but since they sent you a check it seems to me that they will have to set you up a payment to repay it. i would call them it might go against your credit.

you're going to still owe them for the refinance check you gave them. i'd call back and clear it up. you don't want to hose up your credit..
