My mom is getting a divorce and we are moving into an apartment together.

She makes decent pay, but her car payment is very high(530/mo). She wants to sell it, but she is about five grand upside down on it. She wants a cheaper car that has lower payments so her budget isn't so tight.

But if she sells her car, she'll only get about 15-16000, and her loan was for about 22000. Is there a way to get a grant for this so she can pay off whatever she can't sell?
