My credit card limit is $300, I was supposed to pay my bill a month ago, but I had a problem and payed it late. So my balance was $399.54 and I payed the entire thing. Well I went online to check if the payment got there and now my balance is $0, but my Total Available Credit is also $0. Meaning there's no money I could take out of the credit card. But I payed my entire bill and they recieved it. Why are they doing this? I really need to use it right now and it's not letting me.
What's up with my credit card...?We don't know all of the details of your account but if your card was near the maximum limit and you did not pay it on time your balance was so high because you were hit with an over the limit fee as well as a late fee. Those to fees incorporated with any maintenance fees and interest and insurances can put a bills balance somewhere in that range. It is possible that your account has been frozen for "x" amount of days and will be reinstated after the time has elapsed or it is also possible that your account has been closed now that they have received their money. Late payments are not small things. Most folks pay their bills on time, well, at least the foks with decent credit scores.
