The credit card companies are raising their rates and my husband and I are disabled. We can't pay the outrageous payments so their going to have to be let go when payments are due. They are unsecured cards. Personally, I don't think we should have been approved in the first place.

well, if you dont think you should have been approved why did you accept them? You have to take responsiblity for your life and finances. A credit card company can ONLY garnish wages if they take you to court and win that right legally.

unfortunately this is the day and age we live in, credit card companies want people to be in debt, that's how they make their money, i shouldn't have been approved either and now i have about 13,000 in debt and they still send me applications, i don't know if they can garnish your checks, they might because it's considered income
