I am trying to buy furniture, so I applied for the stored credit line and got rejected. So I am looking into applying for a regular credit card with a low interest rate, but I am afraid I will get denied again b/c of applying for the store credit line in the same day. Any advice?

Then all of a sudden you will be getting letters in the mail asking you if you want credit! Good luck

Some creditors will turn you down for too many credit inquiries. Continue to try to get a card to build your credit, but space out your attempt @ possibly 2 or 3 applications per month until you get one.
