Credit report.....?
The key to financial power lies in your credit rating. If you plan to get a home loan, save money and get better credit starting now!
Ok,I have a bankruptcy in 2001
a charge off on credit card in 2002 (paid in full a year later)(after the bankruptcy...yeah I know!)
another credit card in 97 killed in the bankruptcy
and a car loan closed(it was repo'd but paid in full and doesnt state that on the report,it just says closed)
I also have a car loan thats current.
Is there anything I can do(especially the charge off) that can have these removed from my credit report?
I realize it will drop off in a year and a half but is it possible to drop it sooner?
Credit report.....?Yes! When you are mailed a copy of your credit report their is a form you can fill out to dispute items that are not shown correctly! Once you fill out the form an investigation is lauched and you will be notified of their finding in the mail!
Credit report.....?No. You can try to dispute it, but if it's true, then no.
Credit report.....?No, but you can request that the credit bureau attach a copy of your written explanation or statement about the charges to your report. Then you can mention that the loan has been paid off in full. That's about the best you can do right now!
Credit report.....?the debts that was included in the bankruptcy should list a zero balance and include a notation that they were discharged.
The other ones, you can use the debt validation/dispute method (known as the 1-2 punch) or by using "goodwill" letters.
Both Creditboards.com and CreditInfoCenter.com have great info regarding this, as well as sample letters.
Credit report.....?No, collections stay on your credit for 7 years from original collection date. Here is a good resource wrote by a lender for stuff like this. You can also ask credit questions as well.
