DH had a family emergency with his mom and had to travel back home and will be gone from our family (we have 2 kids) this Christmas. On top of that, we had to use the money we had for christmas presents to purchase his last minute plane ticket (obvioulsy that wasn't cheap and used all the money we had)... so now i'm here at home with $6 to my name and no presents for our girls. What are some options? There's nobody in my family I can ask- they just don't have any money or they would have loaned it already. I'll be getting my financial aid back the 3rd week in January..but that money doesn't help me now. (it will be around $1200.) We don't own a home- and I have horrible credit- and since i'm a student I don't think i'd be eligible for a payday advance (and he's out of town- so we can't do it on his income)... What are some options I might have besides trying to explain to our 8 year old that she doesn't get any christmas presents? I just need some advice?
