I came out here to see if anyone has dealt with American General. I have a loan with them for $1500 I beleive $500 is interest.. I got behind two months due to some family medical emergencies and they started calling my references.. came to my home and left a card with the person that answered the door.. and then when i tried to talk to him on a Monday and gave them a post dated check for that friday 5 days away he said no they could not take it that i must borrow the money from somoene that they HAVE to have it in their office by the next day post dated for wed. I told him I was not paid until Friday so he made it sound like the way they would handle it would be to deposit it the day before so it would clear. Offcourse it didnt clear because it went in early. Now I have bounced fees to the bank and them and am now 3 months behind. They call my home, cell, and work every day and every so often my referernces. What can the do to me in the meanwhile whil I am trying to get this paid
American General?first of all when you got behind three months ago i know you said two but you should have had enough fore sight to see it coming -- any way at that time you should have down size your life style -- and i mean cut to the bone and now it worst cause you have an interest eating your lunch while you are on bread and water -- get rid you cell phone and other phone for that matte -- you will save month and they will not be able to call you -- and hock you computer and get rid of the internet since you will not be needing it without a compute and than look around see what else you can get rid of to reduce you debt!!!
American General?pray for the best & do what u can to get caught up
