Has this helped me?
The key to financial power lies in your credit rating. If you plan to get a home loan, save money and get better credit starting now!
I am a 21 yr old college student with no student loans, nothing past due, and basically no credit what so ever. I have a car but it's paid for. I just recently opened a joint account with my fiance and they gave me a credit card to use for emergencies (from Chase bank). I don't believe in debt or using credit cards but we did use it because I basically had no other choice. The limit was $500 but I only used $360. I've just paid it all off and the bill isn't even due until another 2 weeks. My question is has this event helped me start any (good) credit? I don't plan on using it again but just in case I needed a loan or something or I wanted to get a house or another car? Would they look at this and consider me a good canidate? Thank you and sorry for all the details I just wanted to make sure everyone understood
Has this helped me?First of all, BIG THUMBS UP for no debt and no belief in credit cards.
Secondly, consider you may be too young for marriage if money is a concern now.
As for your question, small things don't add much, they all add up, but don't create new incidents, just pay your bills, save what you can, and even CDs can serve as collateral and proof of your financial responsbility.
Has this helped me?sounds like it should help and if it doesnt it wouldnt hurt u at all
Has this helped me?If you want to build credit you need to use your credit card all the time, only use about 50%. Every time you want to buy something put it on the card and go home and pay it off. After doing this for a few months the bank will up your credit.
