It is hard to say exactly how long it will take to improve your score as that largely depends on the nature of the derogatory items on your credit report that or negatively impacting your score.

That being said, it sounds like you are doing all of the right things to improve your score. In addition to adopting healthy credit habits by paying all of your bills on time, I would also suggest signing up for a credit monitoring service that will notify you when any changes post to your credit report. This will help you stay on top of any problem accounts or inaccuracies in your credit report that could prevent you from attaining your credit improvement goals.

I personally use Experian's credit report monitoring service and they have a great tool for their subscribers that allows you to estimate how paying your bills on time and practicing healthy credit habits will improve you score over time. This may help you get an even better idea of the steps to take to improve your credit.
