What's wrong with having national health care?
The key to financial power lies in your credit rating. If you plan to get a home loan, save money and get better credit starting now!
I think it's a good idea. I don't make enough right now to afford health insurance, which is something like $200 a month. For me, that's a big chunk of my take-home...that is 1/3 of rent. I can't afford that. Luckily I'm young and healthy, but if I have a medical emergency, I'll go bankrupt. It would be nice if I could go to the doctor and pay a reasonable fee based on my income, with the government subsidizing it.
I don't believe in free handouts...I'm not on welfare, food stamps, or anything. The only thing I take are subsidized student loans (I have to pay them back) and veterans benefits (I served my time for these) I just think that health care should not be a benefit for the rich.
Then why do so many people hate the idea of "socialized" medicine?
What's wrong with having national health care?Healthy people in other countries think it works well. But ask them how they like it if they really need something major or something that isn't life threatening but would raise their standard of life.... well, the government is on a budget... they can deny your request easily... you didn't need that arm anyhow, right? Why do so many doctors leave Canada for the US.... hmmm... they don't get paid what they should.... how many new medical discoveries come out of these counties? Oh... sorry, not many... no money to fund those things. And boy oh boy... if we get it here why even work? Free healthcare... free welfare... free housing... free retirement... Who pays for all this again?
