Home damaged, caused by 2002 Rodeo/Chediski fire. Have NO adequate electric power or running water for over 3 yrs鈥? FEMA lied to them for 2 yrs. telling them they would help them and get others to help them also鈥? Home received $58,000 in damages鈥? They received from Dept of Emergency Management $2,726 and told that was ALL they were going to get鈥? SBA, HUD, Red Cross, DOA and many others walked away from them without giving them any assistance whatsoever, even though they are eligible for help鈥?. Told them they were TOO POOR to obtain any Grants or Loans to repair their home. (income was $600 /mo.) All they have tried to do is get home restored for their basic needs鈥?Roof leaks, damaged moldy ceilings, walls (mold) repaired and floors restored鈥? Wheelchair ramps needed, decks and steps removed need replaced, now very unsafe, falls are frequent鈥?. Main PROBLEM is they Lost their Solar/Wind electric power system and generators鈥? NO running water without power鈥? NO working heat or A/C

People who have never gone through it, do not believe the hell people go through. Maybe if you looked up Today Show, Inside Editon, Good Morning Show, ................ Call and write as many of these types of shows that you can find. Calling is better because they do not answer too many e-mails. Call the "Bar Association to see if they can give you ideas.
writing your government officials does not work. You can write to most and they will not help, in Michigan and Indiana anyway. They have to please business so they do not leave the state. Good luck.

Find a good support system for yourself. Don't go to any that throw pitty parties. If you can't find one, start your own. That is the best therapy for you.
