Thanks. I was just wondering if, after completing your service or contract, a rating in any of the three main branches (but specifically Navy) can keep their uniform as a momento of their time serving if they want?
If so do they get it free of charge? Or, can you offer to pay in exchange for keeping your uniform?

They seem to make the reserve keep Number 1's for a certain period now, they didn't ask me when I left in 96.
Personally i gave mine back, after 6yrs, you don't want to wear them again.
