I've just found out that the car I've bought (2006 Mitsubishi Colt Plus) isn't as safe as I thought it was (my mistake, should have read up better).
The dealer is really nice though, and I was wondering if there's any chance of me going back there and asking him to exchange the car for one with a higher safety rating.
Do you reckon it would be possible?

If you have signed the paper work and taken delivery of the vehicle and the banks have already paid the dealership(If financed.) then you are stuck with the car.
What I'm wondering. You obviously have access to the Internet. So how is it you didn't know the info on a car you spent thousands of dollars on. Thats kind of weird. I think your not telling the real reason for wanting to return the vehicle.

Can I return a car to the dealer if I don't like it?check if you have a cooling off period, and did the salesman decieve you by saying it was the safest etc. even if he was nice, Just try going back and ask, if he says no and either of those are applicable then you probably have a chance, You can return anything if it's not up to your reasonable expectation. If it was the colour or shape or any other unreasonable aspect then it wouldn't apply but safety is pretty serious.
