A while ago I heard that the county is willing to pay for the education of education majors in exchange for the teachers-to-be agreeing to teach in lower rated schools.... does anyone know if this is true and if so, where I can find info on that? I've done a million and two searches and can't seem to find anything. Links would be nice, if you can give them! Thanks so much!

There did in fact used to be a National Defense Loan that paid off a school loan if you taught five years in certain disadvantaged areas, so this is a definite possibility. Invest in the call and find out from the source.

Hillsborough County Florida paying for college for future teachers?There's Teach for America. I don't think they pay for all your school but they help out with the agreement that you will teach for 3 - 5 years at a low income school. Best of luck!
