I live in Virginia and when we hire on a sitter we pay $6 an hour for a 10 y/o, 6 y/o and 4 y/o. I would probably pay anywhere from 6-8 dollars for an extra kid, especially a baby in diapers if I were you, that's like $2 a child. Shouldn't matter where you live either. It also depends on how much you are having her do, like if you expect her to feed your kids, bathe them and put them to bed too. I wouldn't do it for under $8. I would hire a teenager, but they'd have to be 14 or older and be very responsible/mature. I'd have to have references.

i would suggest $50 since there are three kids, but no more than that!
i'm not sure on a teenager unless they were family it's hard to trust people these days, try to see if any of your family or in laws will help you out for the month. i don't trust no one besides my family to watch my kids.

How much should I expect to pay?Well I pay my babysitter $3.00 hr. Well that is if it is someone besides my normal babysiteer. I actually got threw social services and they pay her while I am at work and if I take classes. Since you have 4 kids I and it is only one day a week four hours. I would ask them what sounds fair or say like 30 bucks is that ok. Something like that. Teenagers are fne as long as they are responsible since you have 4 kids I would not go under 16 maybe 17. Also you can ask friends. I do. Your 8 year old and prolly 5 year old old enough where they can help the babysitter if they need it. Good Luck.
