Hello, my name is Albert Custard Jr. and I am an eight grade student at Ellender Middle School in Marrero, Louisiana. I have been nominated to represent my school and my community at the National Young Leaders Conference in Birmingham Alabama.
The Conference brings exceptional middle school and high school students from around the country to an interactive program. I have enclosed the invitation that was mailed to me for you to review. As you can see, this will be a powerful and life changing experience enabling me to interact with many prominent men and women whom most of us only see on television. Attending this conference will enable me to develop my leadership skills and reach my career goals. For me to attend the conference, I have to raise the tuition and travel expenses.
I maintain a 3.8 grade point average. I am an assistant captain in Ellender Middle schools Academic Games program. I have just been inducted into the Junior National Honor Society. I have been awarded six trophies for maintaining an 鈥淎鈥?average and I was also awarded two Superintendents awards, 12 honor roll certificates, two scholastic achievement certificates, and five perfect attendance record awards. I also have had the honor of being student of the month. My favorite accomplishment is when I was elected Mayor of a small pretend city in Delgado Community college called Exchange City. I currently work as a screen operator in the Video and Screen Ministry at Greater St. Stephens Full Gospel Baptist Church.
