DO NOT FILE FOR BK if you only owe 1K. Cut your expenses and put as much money as you can towards the debt. A bankruptcy is not your only option and shouldn't even be one with that little debt. Work and pay it off. and dont charge anything else and dont buy stuff you dont NEED.

Could you borrow from a family member, employer, credit card? Anything that doesn't charge you that high interest?
Can you work a few extra hours? Can you not have some of the extras in life for a short time?

Are you in a position to make minimal repayments on each debt but pay a little more on the lowest debt until it is paid off. Then you move all that up to the next smallest debt and so on. My profile has more under debt and there is a debt management software program, free for you to use.
