Hey everyone, can I please have your honest opinion? Here's what's up, I want to buy a guitar with a credit card, only problem is my current card does not cover. If I get a new card and charge the guitar on there, and then cancel it later on will it affect my score. This is my dream guitar, this is it for me, I want this guitar so badly. The guitar cost $850.00, but trust me it's very worth it. I don't know what to do, please everyone help me. The card I'm considering is a Visa Platinum and its for $1,000 limit. The only reason I want to charge it on a guitar is I have no other choice, I have agood score and for some reason I got denied for loans. On top of that, its not that easy to save up that money fast. Any tips. Please no rude answers.

Credit experts, please help me out on this one?If you get a new credit card, I wouldnt cancel it, if there isn't an anual payment on it and you are SURE you wont ever use it again, cut it. closing the account wouldnt help, but if your credit to debt ratio is good, it will help your score.
in terms of the guitar... you said its not that easy to save up the money fast... are you sure you will be able to pay it off? I usually dont get anything on my credit card unless I KNOW i can pay it off within a month, but for others its can be more.
Just make sure you can pay it off and ... go ahead and get the credit card. But I really wouldnt close the account if there are no annual fees. Hope this helps.
