I quit my fast food job on jan.24th and I just applied for food stamps last wk, but they told me," just like they had to wait when i quit, so too should i wait for them to do the paper work". Meaning that they will wait on purpose while Me and my family suffer from starvation.
Its been, 1wk 1/2 and i really have no food to eat, i just went to the salvation army, earlier today. I have a job, but im still in training and when i get my 1st paycheck in 2wks, it will be only my training hrs. which is like $50. which will most likely go to the gas.
Yeah, I had $200 this wk, but do to Loans and Payments, I accidently went over my bank balance and know i owe them -$89.85.
No food, No Money, No Gas..
what can i do to fight this and tell them to fill out my 5min. paper work so i can provide my family with food.(since, they refuse)
2yr old son, and a 3month old.
When I went to the food stamps, they told me, all we need is that form, sir.

Help? My Old Job, Wants Payback?Doesn't your State have a Dept. of Labour division? Most places I know of have from the date of firing/quitting until the day of the next pay period. You must have some sort of labour relations Act in your State. Check out the Gov't. listings in your phone book and give them a call. I would hazard a guess that if there was a fine involved to the company you worked for, and you had this knowledge, your papers would be produced forth-with.
