Ask for a supervisor and inform them as to what you are dealing with. They will help you, but you just need to ask the right questions of the right person. Good luck

As for your food stamp case worker, speak to his/her supervisor and explain your former employer is withholding the document you need signed because of whatever grudge they have with you. You *should* be eligible for emergency food stamps as long as you put on your intake forms that your food would run out within 3 to 5 days. You can also ask for a list of other places that distribute emergency food besides the Salvation Army. There is red cross, USDA commodities or "brown bag", WIC for the children, and possibly many church organizations.

It is unfortunate that your kids are suffering due to your bad decision. I suppose you could get the f off Y/A's and go mow a lawn, shovel snow, yard work, odd and ends around a house for 5 bucks to go atleast get the kids something to eat!
