Can you get a better deal on your credit cards? Call and ask for a better interest rate----sometimes they will give you one. If not, can you open another card and transfer the balance to get a lower interest rate? (If you do this, make sure you don't add to the balance with additional shopping!)

I was flat broke each month as well until I took a good, hard look at what I was spending each month. It was scary to add up all of my student loan and credit card balances. I hated clipping coupons and shopping with a grocery list. However, I'm making the same money but now I'm seeing my debt decrease, my savings grow, and I always seem to have a little extra left over.

When you make your budget, don't cut too deeply or you'll never stick to it. I pack my lunch 4 days a week but allow myself to go out on Fridays, for example.

Suze Orman has some wonderful books that can help you. (Get them from the library---not Barnes and Noble) It probably wouldn't hurt to have a session with a financial planner. You make great money for your age and you want to make sure you protect it.

Using cash is the simplest, most effective way to manage your money. Once you get on a budget and use cash, you'll stay out of debt and be able to "see" where all your money goes every month.
