David Bentley has recently come out and suggested that Theo Walcott could develop faster at a club where he actually gets too play on a regular basis, do you agree?. Bentley has not looked back since his loan move to Blackburn from the obscurity of the Arsenal reserves and has now moved up to become a full England international something he credits mainly to playing week in and week out. Now these comments have clearly angered Wenger who has resorted to digs against Bentley and the club he chose to join but surely instead of going after Bentley he should try and reassure Theo? I dont know maybe he cant see how comments like this could effect a young man like Theo like he fails to see any wrongs that his players do on the pitch!
Is Bentley right? Should Walcott leave Arsenal?Playing first team on a "lesser" club would be better than playing reserve games or warming the bench or going on loan to non-premiership clubs. He hasn't developed as fast as Wenger hoped he would and his star would be stiffled by the brilliance of others in the Arsenal squad.
Is Bentley right? Should Walcott leave Arsenal?Tough to say, bentley has certainly done better not playing 2nd fiddle.
Walcott would probably benefit from a loan spell at a european (or challenging) club.
IE. Everton, Villa, Man city etc.
