I get so tired of Republicans claiming "lower taxes" and "smaller government".
Did Bush really make a "smaller government"?
Did Bush really save you any money (if you weren't already rich)?
My student loans are now impossible for me to pay.
The only jobs in my area are telemarketing and fast food.

Bush is the least conservative Republican in a long time. He just happens to be very religious based in his decisions. Personally, it like to see someone less religious and more fiscally conservative instead of morally conservative and fiscally liberal like the current president.
Or you could go with morally liberal and fiscally liberal--vote for socialism.
Complaints about sales and property taxes belong at the LOCAL LEVEL. The federal gov't has two major taxes that they take. Income taxes which are very much burdened by the rich and (Medicare/Medicaid/SS)--FICA which has been determined to be "untouchable."
So don't blame Bush and Repubs for your local governments increases in taxes.
