When you factor in the cost of living that has risen versus the amount of money we get back from lowering taxes, what we have gotten in the past 6 years is a tax INCREASE.

Most people sit by and say "Damn, I'm sure glad I'm getting some money back from the government" while not realizing that they're paying more for the services they used to get. Under Bush we have had both a tax increase AND a record deficit. How does that sit with Republicans?

yeah i agree. Though what is even more baffling to me, is the continued, and unconditional support the republican party still gives Bush with Iraq. Voting for a republican in 2008 means another 4 years of 160k+ soliders living in that hell hole.
