Call them and tell that you want to work out a payment plan. They should settle on a lower amount with you. Sometimes your bank can help you with a problem like this. Don't just let it continue to build up.

never expose the number to anyone. always pay on time so u have good credit and avoid finance charge. dont' overspend like this country does.
if u say u won't use the card for long, they might settle an agreement with you with a lower rate because i think they always want to keep more customers so they can have opportunity to rob you more.
