what about bankrupcy? if you have a house or condo, you have to do chapter 13 (payback bankrupcy)...costs about $750 down and rest (up to $1500 total) in the bankrupcy payments...chapter 7 is full bankrupcy (about $800 or so) with no payments, but I think it is harder to get now...check with a lawyer...usually you skip bill payments to save up for the lawyer's fees...lawyer visit is sometimes free for consulation first visit..
