I just graduated this past May and am a full-time nurse in a hospital. I have both federal and private loans that takes about a 1/3 of my salary every month!!!! I've heard of forgiveness loans for nurses. If anyone has any information about them....PLEASE SHARE!!!!

also, if you contact your states medical board or nursing board (i would contact both) and ask fellow nurses, i am sure someone can point you in the right direction.

U usually have to be working in a disavantaged area or a "needy" area...the govct pays 3-5 % of ur loan for every year u work.. Have u checked on deferrments.. u can pay interest only for 2 years, income sensitive, u can claim financial hardship..any of these would lower ur payment and allow u to save some money.
