How do I succeed in my life and college. I do not have money for American education?Most areas have free ESL classes (English as a second language) classes. Colleges charge for these, and they can do it because people don't realize there are FREE resources out there. Find who does it in your area and attend as often as you can. If you have to work full time to live than do it... but read books... lots and lots of them. They don't have to be dictionaries, try the Harry Potter series! If you have seen the movies, reading the books will be easier for you to follow and understand the vocabulary, sentence structure, spelling, paragraphs, expressions, will help you in understanding and comprehension.
Also, don't get down on yourself - Americans take the English language for granted. It takes most people 18 years to be ready for college English ... hopefully it won't take you that long... but you get the idea. It will take you a minimum of 3 years to be fluent. I don't care what classes you take or what study techniques you use. Let me repeat... it will take you 3 years.
