I applied for a Teacher Loan Forgiveness and it was rejected because "You had an outstanding FFEL Program loan or DL program loan as of Oct 1 1998 or an outstanding loan balance on the date you obtained a Direct or FFEL loan after Oct 1 1998" I was in school from 1995 and graduated in 1999.

What is the defination of an outstanding FFEL?

Outstanding- not paid off.

it's crazy the restrictions they put on the loans. Basically, if you had a loan when they instituted the program - any federal loan, you can't get forgiveness for any other loan. I'm goign throught the same thing.
