If you live with your Mother, you must respect her wishes. If your Mother lives with you or you live on your own with your husband, your Mom really has no say in your business. Your husband does. He doesn't have THE say, but he has A say! You are feeling like you are being controlled because you are allowing people to control you. It's rather simple. You're a grown woman with a husband and a home and a job and a life that is yours and your husbands. Nobody else's. Once you start acting like the adult that can listen to advice but choose whether or not to take it, you will be treated like one. As long as you allow others to tell you what you can and cannot do, you are incapable by your own doing. Hold your head up high, stand tall, take responsibility for yourself and your own life with your husband and let everyone see that you are no longer a child. Period! No question about it! The child you are yearning for, hold off long enough to make a concrete decision with your husband. Last thing you want to be is a Mother that is not in control of her own life, you won't be in control of your own child's life, and your child will grow up to resent your weaknesses and all she had to do or could not do because your Mother said so. Be strong and independent! It's highly respected!!
