I have worked as a tool maker, fixture builder, buyer, and a loan officer. I have been told it is the economy. I do not believe it. I must be doing something wrong?

It's possible you're asking for too much. It also depends on where you're from. You may also be too overqualified for a position. I don't know why they would tell you the economy if they brought you in for an interview they should have already known the range you're looking for.

Too much diversity. What type of job are you going after? How the heck should we know what you are doing wrong when you don't give us any details about what you ARE doing and where you live. Sheesh. Maybe that's why you can't get a job. You don't know how to express yourself.

It could be a number of things. Being overqualified can definitely be a factor. We were once hiring for a position and the applications of those who were "overqualified" were passed over. I personally don't agree with this, but it was said that the "overqualified" applicants would only be there temporarily until something better comes through for them. It could also be that you haven't been consistent in your work history. There seems to be a variety of areas you've worked in. Whatever the reason may be don't give up. Pray about it and put it in the Lord's hand. If you trust and believe he will make a way. I pray for you and your family. God Bless!
