It's time for your husband to stand up to his parents. He needs to tell them you guys have been married now for the last 21 yrs and to either start respecting you or he needs to cut them off. He has to stand up for you. I'm sorry you have in law problems. But some of this should have been taken care of years ago buy your hubby.
In - Laws loads of problems?Wow...you have in-laws from hell. However, it is up to your husband to deal with them. You will get NOWHERE with these people. He should be coming to your defense. What is his take on this? In the meantime, don't give them the time of day and tell your husband you are done with them...they cause you undue stress and are killing the wife of the golden goose by their actions and total lack of respect...and mean it.
