You are probably stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment. In order to get a credit rating you need to have had credit previously. ie a loan or credit card, and be reliable by paying up on time etc. Other things that get taken into account are the amount of income available to you, and your employment status.

You can get a copy of your credit report free from creditexpert.co.uk which can include your credit score

(1-1000) for a small fee.

I should add that you will have a credit rating. Its just likely to be pretty low due to your age and lack of previous credit.

Because of this, any loan that is offered to you will be at an extortionate interest rate, and may not be a good idea.
