i might be wrong but i think it takes a few years before your score creeps up. you need a few years clear.

and what is that prick above laughing at. what a wonderful life he must have if he has never had a problem with debt. its an awful thing to have to worry about, when for whatever reason, you get into financial difficulty. i hope he feels richer with his 2 points.

Opening up new accounts is most likely combatting the positive things you are doing with your credit. Stop applying for new credit. You can and should leave the accounts open and allow them to age. As time goes, as long as you continue to make your payments on time, keep your balance to limit ratios low and keep new credit to a minimal level, your scores will improve significantly. if you consolidate your accounts, do not close them. becuase the credit scoring formula takes old credit accounts into consideration.

make sure you pay the full amount and you dont exceed your credit accounts limits.

set automatic payments through your checking account.

Do not apply for more credit.

sometimes paying off old debt will re-age your debt and will harm your credit score, and I think this was yr case.
